Here at Arnold dental, we’re always looking for innovative new ways to make your dental experience more pleasant.
Lately, we’ve been focused on helping our patients conserve their most precious asset– their time. This is an important part of our decision making in our patient-centered practice.
Dental Emergencies
We start by saving certain appointment times for emergencies to help those who need to be seen quickly. In addition, we have a nationally rated answering service that’s always available 24/7. The US-based site is located in Charleston, South Carolina, and we appreciate their southern grace and concern for our patients. The Europe-based side is located in Wales and they’re available when the US side is not. We did a lot of research to find the best service that pays attention to detail. They can take a message at any time of day, and they can even reach out to us if our patient needs us before the next business day.
Scheduling
We’ve found that by using a service that allows our scheduling software to reach our patients by text and email really helps us save time. We put a great deal of thought into the ways that we could make appointment reminders to be helpful in their timing and frequency. This function allows our patients to respond to the emails and texts– if that’s easier for them.
In addition, our office manager, Rhonda, is a rockstar! She’s an expert in scheduling patients in the most efficient ways. She juggles families and finds ways to have two patients be seen by our hygienists at the same time so that you can save time by avoiding multiple trips to our office. Of course, she also tries to place visits with Dr. Arnold next to visits with our hygienists when possible. Rhonda also keeps information on our patients’ requests to have an appointment on a certain day. We’re very aware that many other medical offices seem to be unable to offer this, but we think that if it’s important to our patients– then it’s important to us and we want to be responsive.
While You Wait
A favorite new addition of ours is the massage chair by Human Touch that’s available for those who may be waiting for a patient who is being treated, for example. We want you to have the best experience possible in our office, and we always try to use your time well.
We also choose specialty magazines that we don’t think you see in most reception rooms. Some of these offerings include Coastal Living, Cowboys & Indians, France, Garden & Gun, and Veranda.
Technology
Finally, we’ve invested in the latest high tech dental equipment. We have a new laser that has many uses, including removing existing restorations more efficiently. We also have new high-speed electric handpieces (drills), that reduce the noise and vibration of the dental drill, which is more comfortable for our patients. It also saves you time in our dental chair.
We’re always thinking of our patients and we’ll continue to strive to make your experience as pleasant as possible. If it’s been over six months since you’ve been in to see us, make an appointment!
Ever since he was little Dr. J. Fred Arnold wanted to be a dentist. He has lived in Kentucky all of his life, except for three years he spent serving in the Air Force (1984-1987). He and his wife Holly have raised their family here and couldn’t imagine spending life anywhere else. They love the great schools and the emphasis on arts and culture.
