Here at Arnold dental, we absolutely love our patients and wanted to find a way to connect with them on a deeper level. We decided that the best way to do this was to run a month-long campaign. We chose a 70’s theme and our team had such a blast! A few of our neighbors in our building even stopped by to tell us we were having way too much fun!
The best part about the campaign was seeing all of the patients who had actually been with our practice since the ’70s. We had a fabulous time checking their charts for the earliest date we had recorded.
Rhonda playing Elvis was a hoot, and we loved reminiscing about the good ole’ days with our patients. Seeing their facial expressions as they walked in the door and saw the decorations was priceless, and it was so much fun to dress up and play 70’s roles. ‘Elvis’ even commented to patients that she was all shook up and that her blue suede shoes were wet from the cold Kentucky rain.
Raffle
What’s a celebration without prizes?! We had four raffle items, with a little something for everyone. This is one of our raffle winners, Dr. Tom Whayne. His biggest memory from the ’70s was having his first job. Thank you to Tom for being such a loyal patient.
Favorite Memories
Along with our raffle tickets, we asked our patients to write down a memory from the ’70s that stuck out to them. Here are some of our favorites:
-The Cincinnati Reds winning the 75′ and 76′ World Series.
-The Beatles.
-Sitting in the theater in 1977 to watch Star Wars.
-Having tickets to see Elvis at Rupp and then he died.
-My dad‘s Tbird.
-Owning a white John Travolta leisure suit.
-Driving, dating and platform shoes.
-Big hair/still love it!
-Motown.
-Rolling Stones concert with Mr. Wonderful!
-The disco-I was the “dancing queen”.
Do you have a favorite memory from the 70’s that you’d like to add?
What’s Next?
Our patients want us to continue the celebrations, so we are. You’ve been asking us, “what’s next”? Wild Wild West, of course! This campaign will run next February and we hope to see your smiling faces there.
Ever since he was little Dr. J. Fred Arnold wanted to be a dentist. He has lived in Kentucky all of his life, except for three years he spent serving in the Air Force (1984-1987). He and his wife Holly have raised their family here and couldn’t imagine spending life anywhere else. They love the great schools and the emphasis on arts and culture.
